"Cops" wasn't Canceled, it just Mutated

🔹🔹Much was made about Cops getting canceled in 2020, but it never died. Cops is currently airing its 36th season and the latest iteration of the genre-"On Patrol: Live"-is a ratings juggernaut. Do these shows provide a check on the police? Or are they just glorified PR reps? And are some cops performing for the camera?

//Get Nebula using my link for 40% off an annual subscription: go.nebula.tv/skipintro// Law & Order has come under a decent amount of scrutiny for its pro-police propaganda, but we're still missing the big part of the puzzle. How Veronica Mars tackles The Police

//RED HOLLYWOOD is now streaming on MUBI in the US// //Get a whole month of great cinema FREE: mubi.com/skipintro// Veronica Mars is a show that has no patience for the terrible cops that patrol its episodes. It's also very nuanced in the ways it approaches the law as a social construct. Where does the show get this perspective and could it be a template for creating a cop show that is not copa...

Get a free bag of fresh coffee with any Trade subscription at drinktrade.com/skipintro. Black Mirror returned this year for a 6th season, and it's hard to overstate how different the show feels. BS on those "bs protests being the biggest in american history". Mlk JR and all the other real civil rights activist from that time would beg to differ. Those Blm protest where a bunch of bored white liberls and their token friends who needed an excuse to miss college for a few months. Those clowns didnt help anyone, they came in destroyed black neighborhoods and left when Biden got in office. The black community still suffers from that those so called protests did.
1:11 ?? Saying this is kinda crazy, especially for someone who isn’t the minority affected in that subject, it really does show the cognitive dissonance that alot of people have, or maybe its willful racism that they are thinking that these movements are somewhat “new”
Great rest of the video so far tho love this
I love this. He not only talks about how something can work and has worked, but slowly picks at its flaws and shows that it isn’t perfect and can backfire. In my opinion, we need police for the police. Truly make them accountable and put more funding into training. The reason bad cops stay bad cops is cause there are no consequences
16:15 haven't seen a sea of thumbs like that since the hitchhiking convention
COP ROCK!!!!!
Damn ok you earned the like 😂😂😂 i didn't hear him say recent wdf
Any cop who enjoys being on camera should be looked at as a liability.
*PIT Maneuvers are Attempted Murder* the thugs should gauge safety before engaging in a chase. Vehicular deaths still make up a large portion of American early deaths, most of which is detailed here. The police makes problems out of thin air and then layer them because they are Unchecked. Sheriffs have been known to Stalk and harass their Wives and Exes. To the point of much violence, people on power trips don’t like to let anyone walk away from them. People who fan the flames of violence on citizens by the police should rethink breathing. They are just fans of Suffering, as long as it is somebody they *feel like they are better than*, while being morally bankrupt. This style of TV is morally bankrupt altogether.
talking about the deleted footage , dont you think the police officers potentially forced them to delete the footage. i in no way shape or form support the show or cops, but i could see the position the filmers are in could be sketch for then
What really annoyed me about this was that Jack and half the prosecutors play portray themselves as Lefty's or liberals. People do not know that they do not have the right to remain silent unless you specifically state it. If you simply don't talk the court will tell the jury that they can take this as evidence of guilt. Steve Leto covered A case exactly like this
Not saying any of the bad stuff is okay when I say my GOD do some people here have a chip on their shoulder
Only a morally bereft coward would think creating criminal gangs with badges would solve the gang problem. The politicians do not care about reforming the police. Daycare about creating a program that makes them look like they are. While at the same time increasing police funding give me to a piece racists and police Simps
the laugh i get is realizing 2/3 of the chases and arrests are fake as fuckkkkkkk or setup. the cops are real and since they are cops they could literally tell a small town to shut the fuck up during these hours and do there scenes and as a guy who fort 6 months ran with my local police. 95% of the work is treadmill tickets and checking up on people in the area over 65 and if in your patrol area is near that call or your near that area depending on day or night shift. you were armed and at night you were body armored with a up to 45 caliber resistant vest.. police work isnt hard its why anyone can join but when the real shit hits the fan. almost all break in some way.
I think that "dark aura" aspect is insidious and alarmingly. We should in no way, shape, or form start insinuating insight being "translated" from hunches. A gut feeling is not profound insight, especially after the fact. This is exactly what someone who shoots first and asks questions later would say to justify their actions. "Results" don't equal reason. Anyone can give an entirely flawed explanation that happens to be right. Knowing how you got to the right answer is important. As is having the capacity to apply that in the future. "It doesn't matter I broke the law/racial profiled/made a baseless assumption. That flawed reasoning I had was actually my flawless intuition that's right even when I'm wrong."
George Floyd was killed by a stomach full of fentanyl actually.😂 You can actually SEE the white tablet fused to his tongue in the video. Toxicology has LONG confirmed that he OD’ed. AND he had a long history of eating drugs to hide evidence during arrest. Chouvin was following police procedures EXACTLY as he was TRAINED to. Department standards and practices from prior to the incident confirm this, and yet his department chief LIED to the media (in order to cover his OWN fat a$$), and claimed that Chouvin actions went AGAINST department procedures. I KNOW that all of this is true, because I MYSELF attended a tandem police and EMS academy prior to the Floyd incident, and I PERSONALLY witnessed police training which dictated that when an officer was detaining a suspect outside of their police vehicle, the suspect was to be placed onto the ground, and secured with an officers knee to prevent them from getting up and running away. The man did his job the way he was TRAINED, and ordered to, and now he’s a political prisoner (basically for life). God Bless America.
holy shit cops is still around? i love that show
I'm actually working my way backwards through the Copaganda episodes, anyone else notice ep 10 is missing? I just recently discovered this channel and was like "How have I not been watching this .... I love Seattle! And miss it". Did I say watching, more like binge watching, I'm a little sleep deprived .... I think 🤔
Team Spike here! Also, Supernatural was epic! As far as Grimm inspired shows go .... Hallmark's miniseries The 10th Kingdom ftw! Yes it's a bit cringe but has it's shining moments and will forever hold a special place in my heart, the cringe and all
On Live PD, I liked the unknown factor of what each call will bring. It gave me real perspective on why cops assume you're lying and you're carrying something. Both seem frequent. This show really gave me appreciation for the value of female cops to de-escalate a situation, especially in domestic cases. Male cops naturally trigger confrontation and aggression from male civilians. It was my experience in a situation of a medical issue. The cop was twisting everything in a negative direction and getting confrontationally authorative.
First of all, the lyric "bad boys. Bad boys..." refers to the criminal, not the cops. Also, I loved watching LivePD. But I hated that it existed. If that was in my town, I wouldn't go out Fri Sat between 7-midnight. And I'd look to move!

I loved that Arrowverse episode where Lucifer showed up, it totally caught me off guard and was an exhilarating scene 😆
21:27 Chloroform is similarly highly misrepresented in popular media. Here is an excerpt from the Wikipedia article on chloroform: "The use of chloroform as an incapacitating agent has become widely recognized, bordering on cliché, through the adoption by crime fiction authors of plots involving criminals' use of chloroform-soaked rags to render victims unconscious. However, it is nearly impossible to incapacitate someone using chloroform in this way. It takes at least five minutes of inhalation of chloroform to render a person unconscious. Most criminal cases involving chloroform involve co-administration of another drug, such as alcohol or diazepam, or the victim being complicit in its administration. After a person has lost consciousness owing to chloroform inhalation, a continuous volume must be administered, and the chin must be supported to keep the tongue from obstructing the airway, a difficult procedure, typically requiring the skills of an anesthesiologist. In 1865, as a direct result of the criminal reputation chloroform had gained, the medical journal The Lancet offered a "permanent scientific reputation" to anyone who could demonstrate "instantaneous insensibility", i.e. loss of consciousness, using chloroform."
The cops weighting out the container in which things are in, is straight bullshit. I once got arrested and charged with over 600 grams of weed because they weighted any jar I had in the car even if it didn't have any residual or anything. Went to court and they kept delaying the case because the cops couldn't find more than 6 grams of shake when my lawyer asked to see my 600 grams of weed they said I had. They wanted to give me 15 years for empty jars. At the end they gave me 3 years of probation for something that wasn't even a felony.
I have enjoyed watching video presentations on the web ever since there was any video to be transferred on the web. And this is one very good piece of video on the web . Thank you and can't wait to see more of your works to come😊

All you have to do is obey. When a tells you to go-stop, you had better dam well go-stop.
What this tells me is networks and woke trash don't dictate the content people consume. They really want to but too damn bad they're not the dictators and if they want people to consume their content they have to give them what they want. This is a good thing. Trash that wants to control the culture is being told that they're trash and that they don't get to. Haha
Canceled in its original form due to a junkie overdosing.
Otherwise good video but the child one was kind of all over the place I was hoping you brought up "Why DID he run?" Because you did know and have that information but you essentially just answered a lack of knowledge by also saying you didn't know but it could be a valid reason
Oh my god that poor baby
you mean fentynal floyd?
You mean criminal 1087?
30 mins in and this is irrelevant. Nobody watches that stuff and the fact you bit into the “social justice” narrative means you bought their bait. Report on RUclips real body cam channels that get millions of views instead of this shit my grandpa watches when he takes his edibles.
the story about Le'Den Boykins' death made me sick to my stomach. despicable.
What about the show The First 48? Could never tell if that was good policing or not
"Don't think just do" is the Republican way
I don’t care about the show “Cops”. This video auto-played on my feed. But this channel earned my subscription. Really enjoyed the content.
This guy is non stop complaining and armchair quarterbacking, while offering no solutions to the stuff he's complaining about. What a waste of time
"Nancy Pelosi I will not donate to your campaign, you have enough money from insider trading" 🤣🤣🤣
The moral choice? So much for an unbiased host lol. You can try to excuse criminal behavior all you want. But like I've said multiple times I grew up poor and in the hood. No criminal record. There's nothing more annoying than white snowflakes. Instead of trying to fix bad behavior you try to excuse it away using poverty. You gotta love the soft bigotry of low expectations on the left.
Watching people LARP a fentanyl overdose who have no idea what any kind of opiate/opioid overdose looks like is so cringe, the problem is it's so anticlimactic and uneventful it just wouldn't captivate the audience as much (you go to sleep and stop breathing)
Cops is such a great show though. Crackheads are comedy gold
Just like RUclips
Actually Floyd killed himself with the help of the crowd that wouldn't allow the police to pay attention to Floyd because they were screaming because of black man was being arrested when you put aside the color of his skin then they don't really care but the fact is that he was a convicted felon is a drug dealer he was a thief who held a woman and her children at gunpoint while his friends robbed their house that's not up to me but the fact is he overdosed on drugs and had the crowd just stood back and filmed it instead of making the cops concerned about their own safety they probably would have noticed that he was in distress so the cops really aren't to blame the crowd that hates cops anytime they arrest somebody who happens to have a darker skin color than white and George Floyd for taking a lethal amount of drugs
What I wouldn't give to get my mom to watch your content. She loves the copaganda.
Why Convicted Felon George “Fentanyl” Floyd getting all the blame?
they have a word for cops who commit crime: acquitted
As someone who’s seen requiem for a dream and grave of the fireflies that anology definitely turns me away from the show
I can’t believe he didn’t mention the phenomenal doc “All Light Everywhere”
You speak with too much... too much of something. I don't know what to call it but it's annoyingly off-putting. I think it's over-enunciation of every syllable. Stop it. Get help
